I recognize the sources, human and literary, that have assisted me in compiling many of my homilies – and others may do also!  I am most grateful for all the suggestions and assistance that I have received. Although the names of individual persons and publications may now escape me, I implicitly acknowledge the authors’ contributions and extend to them a vote of heartfelt thanks. I hope they feel that the work of God’s kingdom has been advanced and not retarded by my use of their material.
