
Group 158 have just returned from the 56th Annual HCPT to Lourdes which is the largest childrens pilgrimage in the UK. Group 158 is based in Swansea and the only group in the Menevia Diocese. We left Swansea early Easter Sunday to travel with the rest of the Welsh Region. Our group consisted of 8 young people and 17 helpers who would help them enjoy their week in Lourdes.
This year was a very special year for Welsh Region as it celebrated 40 years within the HCPT Trust. Group 158 Swansea had the honour of organising the Welsh Regional Mass which is held on the Wednesday and the Chief Celebrant was own Bishop Tom. Our week consisted of Masses with our Chaplain Father Phiilip Harries and Deacon Liam Bradley. The group also Visited places that told the Story of Bernadette such as the Cachot and Bartres.

The Group had a day out to Garvarnie in the Mountains where we celebrated Mass with other Welsh Groups. On Thursday the whole of the HCPT Trust gather together to celebrate Mass and the Chief Celebrant this year was Cardinal Sean Brady and was organised bt the Irish Trust.
