Come and enjoy a special occasion
The National Library of Wales has some fascinating collections of seals – including a number of monastic and ecclesiastical seals which span centuries of our history.
Dr. David H. Williams has made a thorough study of the collections. He has published a wide range of historical books including a number of books and articles about seals.
David has agreed to give a talk – in English – about seals in the National Library which will be of interest to Catholics (and to other Christians).
The National Library has offered a meeting place for the talk and an opportunity to view some of the seals. A member of the Library staff will be in attendance to exhibit the seals.
If you would like to join us to listen to this very special talk on a (hopefully, sunny) Saturday morning in July, please phone Anne on 01970 639266 or send a text message to 07854 682829 or e-mail
a-enlli@hotmail.co.uk
The talk, which will be of approximately one hour’s duration, will begin at 11.00.
There is a convenient car park at the side of the Library. Parking is free on Saturdays.
The Library refectory, Pen Dinas, will be open. It is possible to purchase light meals – sandwiches, panini, soup or salad.
The Library shop, with it’s wide variety of Welsh goods, is also well worth a visit.
Welcome to all!
